Information for Guests
| Guests attending the Convocation are to bring along their invitation cards for admission. Please note that children below 6 years of age will not be allowed into the theatre. Handphones and pagers are to be switched off or set to silent mode during the ceremony.

Seating Arrangement Guests must be seated in the theatre by 9.30 am/ 1.30 pm/ 5.30 pm (Morning/ Afternoon/ Evening).
Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis at the stall seats (at basement 1) and circle seats (at level 2).
As the convocation is a solemn occasion, guests are requested to remain in their seats throughout the ceremony and refrain from leaving the theatre during the ceremony. |
Photo Taking During the convocation ceremony, guests should not leave their seats to take photographs, so as to avoid obstruction to the graduates as they move up to the stage and back to their seats. Orders for on-stage close-up shots may be placed with the official photographer at their booth located outside the Nanyang Auditorium. At the end of the ceremony, guests should remain in their places until the last graduate has left the theatre. |
Traffic Control & Parking A) For those coming by taxi: We advise graduates and their guests who are coming by taxi to alight at the back of the Nanyang Auditorium to avoid traffic congestion along the driveway in front of the Administration Building. B) For those coming by car : You can make use of the car parks (refer to the map on a first-come, first-served basis subject to availability. Covered car parks at A, B, SBS and RTP are chargeable at $1.00 per hour for the first two hours and $3.00 for a duration of more than two hours from 5.00 am to 5.30 p.m. from Monday to Friday. Other open car parks at C, D, E, F, G, I, J, P, Q, R and S are available free-of-charge. Please park only in white lots as yellow lots are for designated owners.
During Ceremony 1, car park A will be largely reserved for the University's official guests and staff officiating the event. Please follow the direction from the Campus Wardens during the convocation. |
