Convocation 2009 – Influenza A (H1N1) Preventive Measures

The current Influenza A (H1N1) situation is dynamic and appropriate measures need to be taken for the overall well-being of the university community, its guests and visitors. All graduates and guests who develop flu-like symptoms such as high temperature of more than 37.5 degrees, sore throat, cough, body aches, runny nose, headaches and tiredness are strongly advised not to attend the Convocation Ceremony. By being socially responsible, we can help safeguard the well-being of all graduates and guests attending the Convocation.

Those who are unable to attend the Convocation, may view the ceremony proceedings via webcast in real time. The video recording of each ceremony will also be available for viewing after the event at the Convocation 2009 website: http://convocation.ntu.edu.sg.

Bachelor degree graduates who are not able to join the Convocation, may collect their degree certificate and transcripts personally from the Office of Academic Services from 7 August 2009 onwards. Alternatively, you may request via convo@ntu.edu.sg for your certificate and transcript to be sent to you by registered mail.

Higher degree graduates who are not able to join the Convocation, may collect their degree certificate and transcripts from the Graduate Studies Office from 7 August 2009 onwards. Alternatively, you may request online (http://www3.ntu.edu.sg/GSO/forms/degcertmailing.html) for your certificate and transcripts to be sent to you by mail.

NTU will continue to monitor the situation as the Convocation approaches and may implement temperature screening at the Convocation venue. Please check the Convocation 2009 website: http://convocation.ntu.edu.sg regularly for any H1N1 updates.
