You must be properly attired as befits the occasion as academic tradition is observed and the ceremonial proceedings at the Convocation are kept formal and dignified. Academic dress is mandatory for all graduates attending the ceremony.
The full academic dress consists of a gown, a hood and a mortarboard (bonnet for PhD graduates). The colour of the hood indicates the discipline of the degree. You may check the colour of the hood for your degree. Please also refer to the dress code for the Convocation. |

Purchase or Rental of Academic Dress
Graduates may purchase or rent their academic dress from the gown vendors from 27 to 29 June 2013 at the Nanyang Auditorium. The operating hours are 1.00 pm – 8.00 pm (27 – 28 June) and 10.00 am – 3.00 pm (29 June).
Graduates may also approach the gown vendors at their respective studio for purchase or rental of academic dress from 3 June 2013 onwards.
Graduates who rent their academic dress are required to return the academic dress to the respective gown vendors at their studios from 5 to 31 August 2013.
